The multi-partner Coherence in Information for Agricultural Research for Development (CIARD) initiative is working to make agricultural research information publicly accessible to all, by helping national organizations that already hold or create new knowledge facilitate access to it for others. A major challenge faced by the CIARD partners is how to advocate and empower the management of hundreds of national research organizations across the world to formulate and adopt enabling policies and incentives that enable their scientists to share the outputs of their research, making them truly accessible to all stakeholders so that they can be put into use.
